Dear Friends and Supporters,

Greetings from Fond-des-Blancs in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

As we enter the month of May, we are especially grateful for what God continues to do through the ministry of education at HCDF. What began 37 years ago with just 48 students has grown into something truly remarkable. Today, over 1,000 students are enrolled at L’Exode, and when combined with our Génèse schools across the region, that number surpasses 1,500 young lives being shaped each day.

The results speak for themselves. In all these years, only three students have ever failed the national exam at the 6th-grade level—and none at the high school level. Such consistency is not accidental; it reflects the dedication of our teachers, the discipline of our students, and the faithfulness of God.

Yet behind these numbers lies a deeper reality: access to this level of education would be impossible for most families without support. Every child at L’Exode receives a subsidy of more than 75% of the actual cost of their education, and many are granted full scholarships due to severe family hardship. Education here is not simply a service—it is a lifeline.

This is where you come in.

Through our sponsorship program, you have the opportunity to help break a child out of poverty and superstition through education. As our school motto so beautifully expresses: “From obscurity to the conquest of the stars.” For just $25 a month, you can invest directly in a child’s future and become part of a transformation that lasts a lifetime.

We are also encouraged by what lies ahead. On the first Wednesday of May, more than 100 parents of three-year-old children will come to register them for the next school year. In a community where many families traditionally delay enrollment until after classes begin, this early and eager response speaks volumes about the trust and value placed in L’Exode.
